Elisabeth Joris

Elisabeth Joris (1946–) is a Swiss historian with a doctorate from the University of Zurich. She worked as a secondary school teacher, was co-editor of Olympe, and published numerous articles on women’s and gender history in Switzerland. In 1986 she and Heidi Witzig published a pioneering source collection on women’s history in Switzerland.
