Byung-ok Chun

Chun Byung-ok 천병옥 belongs to the first generation of female architects. A prize, the Chun Byun-ok Architecture prize 천병옥 건축상 named after her exists to support women architects in South Korea, and to promote the synthesis of traditional and modern architecture. Unfortunately, this award is not well-known and has not been awarded for several years due to a lack of qualified woman architects.
