Eureka! Touring Library
14 November, 2021
The Eureka! Touring Library is an annual project generated by JuangZong Books, and in their words, it
brings together the world’s leading independent and academic publishing houses that are dedicated to the contents of architecture. Eureka! Touring Library showcases the best of the year’s newest publications, the private libraries of master architects, and collectors’ editions.
This collection brings together the bibliographies produced by two years of activity, selecting the works by women from a long list of publications. The Eureka! Touring Library is more than a list of books, however, and an extensive programme explores the themes and locations out of which this publications come.
Eureka! Touring Library seeks to bridge individuals through books amidst diversified urban life evolving with architecture. Embedded in the city, we, individually, bear witness to and participate in the urban renovation. Books record the past, and we share the present.
In 2021, for example, the programme, named ‘Our City, My Community’ brought together
8 curators, 18 architects and architecture scholars, 45 artists, photographers and writers. Lasting one month, it pools hundreds of selected books from 101 publishing houses and features a series of penetrating and intertwined events organized by several architectural, design, cultural and academic institutions. The events include 8 BOOKS modules, 6 SPOTS modules and 2 FRIENDS modules, i.e. Dutch Architecture Week and Nantou’s Friends.
