This collection is made to accompany the September Equinox edition of Insights, Women Writing Architecture’s newsletter, whose theme is Utopia. Guest edited by Elisabeth Gellein of spacegirls, we will publish a conversation around the books in the collection, which features themes such as the shack, sandy aggregate, poetry and spells, News from Nowhere and time, in relation to their architectural and writing practice.

Spells are poems; poetry is spelling. Spell-poems are vehicles of change that takes us beyond the borders of the rational into a place where the right words can influence the universe.
