Sonja Flury on Lisbeth Sachs

Lisbeth Sachs and Berta Rahm were commissioned to do a pre-study of a masterplan for the Saffa 58 together. Although their design was not realised, they both built pavilions for the Saffa 58, albeit very different ones under very different circumstances. What is interesting to me, is that Berta Rahm uses Fural (a facade system made from corrugated aluminium bands) as the main cladding for her pavilon – the same material that Lisbeth had previously used to cover the roof of her Kurtheater in Baden.
